Conflict arises in our personal and professional lives. This workshop will give you some tools and strategies to deal with it a little better. Learn how to respond to conflict and manage it productively.

This session is open to GSSA members and non-members!


About the presenter: Donna Horn


Donna is currently the Manager of Organizational Development in Facilities Services at Seattle University where she creates services and systems that enhance the department's performance in areas that include policies and procedures, emergency planning, training and professional development, accreditation and assessment.  She has been a professional carpenter, served on staff as Field Director and Property Manager for SW Connecticut GS Council, and worked in the insurance industry. She has demonstrated leadership in operations, organizational development and strategic direction with an expertise in nonprofit management.  


Donna has an Ed.D in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Nonprofit leadership from Seattle University. She has a M.A. in Classical Studies from Indiana University and a B.A. in Classical Languages from Fordham University.


A life-long Girl Scout and lifetime member, Donna has been a member since Brownies through Campus GS, served on staff, as a council Board Member and volunteered in a variety of areas in Girl Scouting.  Currently, she is a facilitator for Girl Scouts of Western Washington. For GSUSA, she is a National Volunteer Partner serving in a variety of assignments including the Alum Advisory Team and Portfolio of Services Team. She has staffed several conventions, delivered workshops at the LOD Conferences at Macy and designed and delivered courses in Purposeful Leadership and Leading Virtual Teams through Girl Scout University. In the past triennium she served on the WAGGGS Membership Services Working Group and Team Lead of the Leadership Content Task Group preparing for attendance at the World Conference in Delhi, India in September (2017).  She is now on the Capacity Building Team for the Western Hemisphere Region.


Donna is a member of the board of directors for GSSA; she worked with the team that co-designed and facilitated Essential Tools for Membership Success in VA in 2015.
