Girl Scout Staff Association’s Friendship Knot Mingle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Series Session 1: Racial Justice with Dr. Mary Kate Andris and Michelle Ellis-Young Tuesday, October 13, 2:00-3:30PM ET

Speakers: - Dr. Mary Kate Andris is the President and CEO of the YWCA South Hampton Roads where she has spent the past 4 years increasing revenue from philanthropic sources and building awareness of the YWCA South Hampton Roads’ brand. The YWCA South Hampton Roads has strengthened social movements that eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, and dignity for all through advocacy, local programming, and services. Mary Kate is a proud Girl Scout Alum.
- Michelle Ellis Young is the Executive Director of the American Red Cross – Coastal Virginia where she stewards the organization’s mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Described as a connector of people and resources, Michelle is passionate about service and the development of people, especially women and young girls, and helping them to actualize their passion and purpose. Michelle is a proud Girl Scout Alum.
