The Power of Options:  Unlock the potential of effective leadership with "The Power of Options." This dynamic training delves into the Four Stances Model, providing a robust framework for navigating crises, seizing opportunities, and managing interpersonal interactions. Learn to adopt and adapt the stances— Lean In, Lean Back, Lean With, and Don’t Lean—to enhance your leadership capabilities. Through self-assessment and engaging case studies, participants will not only identify their default stance but also gain the skills to fluidly switch stances based on situational and individual needs.

About Nikki Turpin: Nikki recently served for two years as Professional Development and Education Specialist for Virginia811 helping people grow and enhance their skill sets. She cultivated a network of damage prevention partners in Eastern Virginia and creatively contributed to community engagement. Notably, Nikki developed a Virginia811 patch program for a local Girl Scout council and partnered with the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk to sponsor the prairie dog exhibit, because they are diggers! She also enjoyed providing Law training on the Damage Prevention Act for professional excavators. Before entering the world of underground utility damage protection, she had a fulfilling career in healthcare, running volunteer and bereavement programs, as well as supporting regulatory efforts across two states for a managed care organization.  Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Communication, specializing in Public Relations and Mass Communication, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Leadership Studies. Originally from Chesapeake, she now makes her home in Moyock, NC with the love of her life Eric and two sassy but fun little Girl Scouts Sloane and Sutton.

This event is open to all Girl Scout Staff, whether or not they are members of Girl Scout Staff Association. Only $10 for non members.
