On May 5th, there was a virtual information session about becoming certified in Volunteer Administration. A recording of that session can be found here.

To support people interested in sitting for the October 2025 exam, we have created this study group. The CVA study group is a benefit from GSSA open to all members and non-members led by facilitators who have earned their CVA certification.

On June 2, 2025 @ 4 PM EST we will review the study resources and an overview of chapters one and two of the textbook, Volunteer Administration: Professional Practice, 4th edition (Earlier editions can be used).  After the introduction session, we will meet every other Monday at 4:00pm ET for a total of 9 sessions ending September 22nd. The study schedule is based on reading 1-2 chapters of the CVA textbook, presenting and discussing those chapters during the session. Sessions will be recorded so if you are unable to attend you can review the session.
