Overview of Level Up Summit

This new, blended learning course, developed in collaboration with GSUSA's Council Partnerships team, is intended to support new staff whose work focuses on membership, volunteer development or mission delivery. It is aligned with Girl Scouts of the USA’s key performance indicators, proven practices, messaging and educational tools. 

 

This opportunity is being offered only to select councils at this time. We anticipate offering this in other regions in the future.

 

Who:          Up to 50 Council Staff with 6 months to 3 years of Girl Scout experience plus a focus on membership, volunteer development, or mission delivery 

 

When:        Virtual Kick-off on January 8, 2026 at 4pm CT

                   In-Person January 20 - 22, 2026

                   1 Year of Cohort Conversations

 

Where:       Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama DreamLab, 600 Montgomery Hwy Suite 208, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216

 

Cost:          $225 * (plus accommodations)

 

 * The experience includes a year of Girl Scout Staff Association Membership. Current members will pay a course fee of $175.

 

As an attendee, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of and commitment to Girl Scouting by exploring Girl Scout history, traditions and today’s key messages.

  • Implement your member/volunteer recruitment plan fueled with critical data points that inform targets for troop start-ups, family engagement and school relationships.

  • Practice effective communication techniques so you can spark and deepen relationships with a diverse population of prospective and current families, volunteers or program partners. Construct ways to overcome “I don’t have time” when recruiting girls and new volunteer troop leaders.

  • Create connections with other Girl Scout staff from across the region so you can personally benefit from being part of the Girl Scout Movement.
